Sir Monday John Onyeme (born March 30, 1965) is a Nigerian accountant and politician. The Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, appointed him as the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue.
John is a recipient of many awards for his personal life achievements and hard work. He has helped the members of his society through his philanthropic acts.

Monday Onyeme Early Life
Monday Onyeme was born on March 30, 1965, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Onyeme. He hails from Ibabu, Onicha-Ukwuani in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State of Nigeria.
Sir John grew up in Ibabu and later moved to Sokoto State, where he completed primary school.
Education
Monday attended the Army Children’s School, Sokoto, from 1974 to 1977. After obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate, he attended Government Secondary School, Gummi. He sat for the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level in 1982.
From 1985 to 1987, he attended the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura-Namoda in Zamfara State. He graduated with a National Diploma in Accounting with Distinction.
Sir Onyeme flew to the United Kingdom to continue his studies. He holds a Certificate in Information and Communications Technology from the Northumbria University, the United Kingdom.
John also holds an MBA in Business Management with commendation from Northumbria University.
Monday has attended over forty professional and management courses. Later, he qualified as a chartered accountant with safe Association Accounting Tutors in Lagos in 1993.
Career
Onyeme worked as an Assistant Lecturer at Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, from 1991 to 1992. He became a senior Executive Assistant Audit Commercial Trust Bank Lagos in 1993.
Sir Monday worked with the audit department of the National Electricity Power Authority, Lagos. He was the Chief Accountant of the Octopus Credential Limited, Lagos.
He worked as Head of the Finance and Supply department of the National Agriculture Land Development Authority, Asaba, from 1996 to 2000.
In 2000, he became the Chief Accountant at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba. By 2005, he got promoted to the College Bursar.
Sir Onyeme became the Bursar of the National Open University, Lagos in 2006. His state-appointed him as the Head of the Board of Internal Revenue.
John has worked as the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Inland Revenue. He has over twenty-five years of experience as an Accountant.
In October 1990, Sir Onyeme began to work as an Audit Trainee in the firm of Odili Nwankwo & Co Chartered Accountants in Enugu.
Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa appointed him as the Executive Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Service.
In June 2022, Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) announced Sir Onyeme as the deputy governorship candidate and running mate to the governorship candidate, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Monday Onyeme loves to seek advice on how to run his Agency and also raise funds for the state. He can read people fast and can anticipate their moves.
As a philanthropist, he has regard for creativity and assists creative people. He believes and confides in God. He speaks four languages, English, Ukwuani, Igbo, and Hausa.
John holds the traditional title of Odoziani 1 of the Ibabu Kingdom in Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
Monday Onyeme and his wife, Lady Catherine Onyeme, are proud parents of five children, Rina, Divine, Peace, Godson, and Abraham.
