Hakeem Odumosu is the current Assistant Inspector General of Police. The Nigerian-born is the immediate past and the 36th Lagos Commissioner of Police.
Odumosu believes that a good leader should lead from the front. There was a Farewell/Pull-out Parade at Police College, Ikeja, in January 2022 to honor his resignation.

Hakeem Odumosu studied English at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He obtained a Bachelor of Law degree from the National Open University of Nigeria.

Career
Odumosu began to serve as an Operations Officer in Isokoko, Ketu, and Satellite Divisions. He also served at Area D Command, Mushin, Lagos.
Hakeem served as Chairperson of Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences, Governor Office in Ikeja. He was the Officer in Charge of the Pensions Offices in Edo State and Ogun State.
Tango One worked with the Kaduna State Command handling the Research and Planning Department.
He was also a Commander of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad. He was also Area Commander of Akwanga in Nasarawa State.
Odumosu was Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Western Ports Authority Command, Lagos. He was Area Commander in Agodi Area Command of Oyo State.
He was the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja. He was appointed the Commissioner of Police, Department of Research and Planning.
Hakeem was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja. He worked as Commissioner of Police (Inspectorate) and Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters Abuja.
Odumosu worked as Commissioner of Police, Edo State and Commissioner of Police, Finance, and Administration, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja.
He was Head of the Enforcement Unit of the Presidential Taskforce to Restore Law and Order on Apapa gridlock, Lagos.
Retirement
Hakeem Odumosu is the immediate past Commissioner of Police in Lagos State. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended him for serving the country with his mental and physical.
Odumosu retired from the Force after he was appointed the Assistant Inspector General of Police. He has served for thirty-two years and was enlisted on March 3, 1990.
Governor Sanwo-Olu thanked him for his service to Lagos and said that Odumosu attended to his constitutional duties with vigor, courage, and without excuses.

Hakeem Odumosu is a father and husband. His first wife, Nafisat Odumosu, accompanied him during his valedictory speech.
AIG Haleem Odumosu married his second wife, Folashade Omotade-Odumosu, in September 2021. They tied the knot in a colorful wedding at Banana Island.
Folashade is a socialite and businesswoman. She was the wife of the late permanent secretary, Olaseni Omotade.
